My main reasons for applying to the BASE Program are that Boeing’s mission statement falls in line with my core values, the program will provide me with unique opportunities to experience supply chain in a professional setting, and allow me to further my interest in aviation. Recently, I was elected to be the Vice President of Administration for the Supply Chain Management Association at Arizona State University. My duties entail sending out weekly newsletters to our 500 plus members, answering member and employer inquiries, overseeing our website which includes updating and improving content to reach our audience and running our active members program to award our most dedicated members with special events. Upon election, I began implementing new systems to automate several processes within the association to improve response times to inquiries, create a more efficient check-in system, and make member’s personal information readily available to them.
