Joe Rosato is a tour guide and Liaison for volunteers on the Board of Directors of The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation located in Holmdel, NJ. He has volunteered at the memorial since 2007. Joe enlisted in the U.S Navy from his hometown of Brooklyn, NY on Dec. 7, 1966 (25th anniversary of Pearl Harbor). His basic training was at The U.S. Submarine Training Center in New London, CT. He ended up his enlistment in the Navy by serving in the Vietnam War at Yankee Station (Gulf of Tonkin) in 1968 as a Helmsman and Lee Helmsman aboard the aircraft carrier USS America CVA-66.
John Peters Ringo aka Johnny Ringo, was part of the outlaw group of Cochise County Cowboys in Tombstone, Cochise County, Arizona Territory. Johnny Ringo was born on May 3, 1850. He was born in Greens Fork, Indiana, him and is family moved to Liberty, Missouri in 1856. Ringo first moved to Cochise County in 1879 with his friend Joseph Graves Olney aka Joe Hill. Justin never allowed his hearing loss to stop him; even as a child, Justin found himself intrigued by sports, part of the Eagle Scouts, and living and learning music. Freedom Summer, or the Mississippi Summer Project, was a volunteer campaign launched in June 1964 to attempt to register as many African-American voters as possible in Mississippi, which had historically excluded most blacks from voting.
