The first point everyone use when arguing that the atomic bomb wasn't necessary is that thousands of people died. Yes , thousands of people died but no one explain the fact that american and japanese lives were lost over unnecessary attacks. If people observed what japan was doing, like invading other countries , the attack on pearl harbor and more maybe they would understand why it made more sense to drop the bombs("Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki."). With those events happening it helped save American and Japanese lives. If Japan was capable of still doing damage to america then many more lives would have been lost and put into danger. The lives lost was already a lot so why add more to the death number when you could stop japan from doing anymore damage that they had already caused ("Atomic Bomb: Why did President Harry S Truman Order the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki").
