A nervous Hamilton pulled the trigger and killed the store owner in front of the owner's wife; this was the first murder that Clyde was directly involved with. Once Bonnie and Clyde were together they continued to add to their criminal list of burglary, robbery, murder, and kidnapping. Despite being two of the country's most wanted criminals, they would return home every so often to see their families. They were eventually joined by Clyde’s brother Buck and his wife Blanche. Police tried to ambush the gang in a shootout, but failed to capture the famous pair. They did however capture Blanche Barrow and injure her husband Buck. Still, their luck was running out because a year later, everything would turn around for them in the worst possible
