Have you ever heard the saying “It is a sin to kill a mockingbird?” Well, it means it is a sin to kill a mockingbird because they don’t do anything to harm anyone, they just sing their hearts out for people. In the novel “To Kill A Mockingbird,” the novel was a story telling how young Jem, broke his arm. The novel showed different events leading up to how he got injured. The main events that happened in the novel were Scout and her brother Jem meeting a boy next door who was staying with his aunt for the summer, and how they were fascinated by a “monster” at the time named Boo Radley. Also about a trial of a black man named Tom Robinson supposedly raping a white women named Mayella Ewell. By the end of the story Tom Robinson and Boo Radley were found to be innocent, and readers realize Tom and Boo are symbolically the mockingbirds in the story. At the beginning of the novel the children wanted Boo Radley to come out of his house because they never saw him before, so they tried to leave him a note asking Boo to come out. The children in Maycomb thought Boo Radley was a monster with a big scar on the side of his face. On the ending of page 11, and beginning of page 12 it states, “...according to Miss Stephanie, Boo was sitting in the living room cutting some items from The Maycomb Tribune to paste in his scrapbook.His father entered the room. As Mr.Radley passed by, Boo drove the scissors into his parent’s leg, pulled them out, wiped them on his pants, and resumed his activities.” The children never actually knew if this actually happened or not, they just believed it did because they heard it from their neighbor, Miss Stephanie
