“Only a fool is not afraid.”― Madeleine L'Engle, A Wrinkle in Time. For example, Charles Wallace was not afraid and he got hypnotized by the man with red eyes. The story is about how when Meg was young her dad and mom were interested in science and her dad believed in a thing called a Tesseract which you can teleport and he tessered once to this place where everything is beautiful except for the darkness. The darkness is controlled by the most evil mind ever named IT. IT has taken Meg’s dad. He has been gone for 4 years, which has tore Meg apart until some of Charles Wallace’s friends helped them go to save their dad. So they went to the island where Mrs. Whatsit took them into the dark. While trying to save their dad, a man with red eyes hypnotizes Charles Wallace to work for IT. When they got there dad they had left and went back to Earth. This section of the book is powerful because it shows how happy Meg’s dad is to actually see the outside world in a while. It also shows how worried he was for his family. In the movie Meg got to camazotz and found her dad but she was not that excited. Meg had cried a little and then they hugged and that was it.
