Have you ever had to survive alone, with no resources except a hatchet, for 54 days in the Canadian wilderness? Do you think you could manage to do it? In the book Hatchet, by Gary Paulsen, 13 year old Brian Robeson had no other choice when his plane crashed into a lake, after the not-so peaceful passing of the certified pilot. Throughout this rocky journey Brian went through, there were many memories, Aha Moments, and times he had changed. In one of the aha moments, Brian discovered a much easier way to hunt and get fish. In another, He remembers a survival pack that was inside of the plane, and tries to get it. Thanks to the crucial aha moments, Brian was able to greatly increase his chance of survival in this insane wilderness.
