The Other Wes Moore The Other Wes Moore, written by Wes Moore, was published on April 27, 2010. The book is a true story about two fatherless men both born near each other in Baltimore and they happened to share the same name. Where the two Moore’s paths diverge and their journey down their respective roads is what the book focuses on. One of the Moores went on to become a Rhodes Scholar, graduate from Johns Hopkins, serve in Afghanistan and write this book. The other Wes Moore is serving a life sentence for murder. Ultimately the book is simply an example of how two men with somewhat similar backgrounds can end up leading vastly different lives.
