In this book Elie and his family are sent to concentration camps. Elie and his family and have to work hard together. Elie and his family cannot give up and have to believe. There are many challenges during their journey and they have to survive through them.

In the midst of Elie’s World War II experience, Elie has an extra burden weighing him down-- his father.
The book, Night, by Elie Wiesel is a memoir about the dreadful Holocaust in which Wiesel survived. The Wiesel family consisted of Elie, his two older sisters, Hilda and Bea, and younger sister, Tzipora, and parents. The family lived in the town of Sighet, Transylvania before they were shipped off to war but were then relocated to a ghetto at the beginning of the Holocaust. Elie met Moshe the Beadle in 1941 when he was about thirteen years old. Moshe the Beadle was a shtibl who was transported to one of the camps before some of the other Jews and was shot and pretended to be dead so that he could escape and return home to warn the other Jews about such occurrences but they would not listen to him.
English Night Essay The book Night, it is about a teenager named Elie that goes through the holocaust with his father. Elie and his father experienced starvation, injuries and physical abuse. After reading Night, one might wonder why German people do nothing to stop the concentration camps. The people of Germany kept silent because, they were scared of Hitler’s power and, they were scared of losing their own lives.

Elie Wiesel was born September 30th, 1928 in Sighet, Transylvania in a community made up of mainly Orthodox Jews. The main characters of this book are Madame Schachter, Juliek, Shlomo, Eliezer and Moshe the Beadle.
The Holocaust was a time of suffering for millions of people in Europe. However, no group suffered more than the Jewish people. Elie Wiesel’s Night documents the suffering of himself and the people around him during their time in Nazi camps. Wiesel, throughout the book, describes his own life from his life in Sighet to after he is freed. He is living a relatively normal life, until the threat of the Nazis comes about.
