Book Summary: The Maze Runner

Thomas Thomas is a skinny sixteen year old. Traits that describe Thomas are persistent and curious. His persistence and his curiosity is part of the reason him and his fellow Gladers escaped out of the Maze. He is important to the story because he is the protagonist in the story, and the story is told in third person limited, insight on Thomas's thoughts. The difficult situation is he is trapped inside of a maze and trying to find an exit. I would not have been as composed as Thomas was when he first entered into the Glade. I would have been sitting in a corner balling my eyes out. Thomas did the exact opposite, he had so many questions and tried to understand the purpose of being trapped inside the Maze. I admire his willingness to do things that other people would never do. He was selfless and was a good friend to people he did not even know. This book is about a group of teenagers known as the Gladers trapped inside of a Maze, and they have to work together to solve the Maze. They all live in the middle of the Maze known as the Glade. All of the people had their memories wiped from them because WICKED conducted experiments to test the teenagers in a form of the survival of the fittest. Thomas was special, having many questions and knew there was purpose behind why they had been sent here in the Maze. Later on he figures out who he was before the Maze and uses his memories to help them escape from the Maze. I would recommend this book because the author takes you on an emotional journey. From experiencing thrill, sadness, happiness, and laughter the Maze Runner will leave you wanting to continue the series. Overall, the Maze Runner is well written to where you feel as if you are really there in the Maze with
