Call me a tory or not, but the british in the Boston Massacre were not guilty of murder and opening fire on crowd for no reason. The british completely and utterly acted in self defense on March 5,1770. Know you might say well they placed taxes on us… NEWS FLASH… this is about whether this is murder or done in self defense, not taxes. Trust me this king’s Street mess was definitely in self defense.
the historical events that i learned was that i did in my history class was that i learned about the boston tea party. The reason why i chose the boston tea party was that i think that it played an important role in what made america in the beginning. The boston tea party was when the sons of liberty where going to make sure that the british were going to leave them alone so the poured out all the tea into the boston harbor. The colonist would try to team up with the indians to help them even out the numbers because the were out numbered by hundreds of troops. But the indians refused to help the colonist because they thought that they would be betrayed and the colonist would kill them.

Today the bloody massacre happend in boston. There was a group of protesters throwing snowballs, sticks, and stones at a squad of British soldiers. They responded by shooting into the riot of people. The event ended up killing 3 people and right now they say that 8 others are wounded. The presence of the British in Boston is becoming more and more unwelcome.
Then the colonist made it seem that it was the soldiers fault by writing articles and drawing pictures. I know this because if you see the image that Paul Revere about the Boston Massacre it shows how the colonist are just standing there begging for mercy but it seems that the soldiers are being mischievous by killing the colonist. I think that the British soldiers acted in self defense during the Boston Massacre. The colonists were threatening and provoking the soldiers by shouting vulgarly, beating people with clubs, and throwing rocks covered in snow, so I believe that the soldiers had a right to fight for their lives. Just take a moment to imagine the Boston massacre, it’s late at night and people are tired and confused. The colonists are shouting “Fire and be damned, who cares! Damn you, you dare not fire,” (Exhibit B) and the British soldiers are ready to defend but don’t know what’s going on.

These events included bloodshed by others, peoples rights weren’t enforced, individuals didn’t receive freedom, and our country was just not yet whole. Despite of the causes of why the road to Revolution took place there were effects afterwards. When American Revolution was over with the The Declaration of Independence came into place, treaties were signed, and the Bill of Rights. Now these effects/events were amazing, it helped our country tremendously.
