Raven, you are right. The British felt as if the colonies should accept the consequences for the colonists ' actions at the Boston Tea Party. As a form of punishment, the British passed the Intolerable Acts. The Intolerable Acts included the following: the Boston Port Act, which closed Boston 's port until the East India Company was repaid; the Massachusetts Government Act, which empowered the king to elect government officials in Massachusetts; the Administration of Justice Act, which allowed the government to move a colonist 's trial to another colony if a fair trial was unavailable in Massachusetts; and the Quartering Act, which permitted British troops to occupy vacant buildings when in the
In the 1774, the first Continental Congress was put together. The Congress was a meeting of delegates from all except one of the thirteen colonies. They all met to discuss what shall be done about the “Intolerable Acts” that was being passed as a response for the” Boston Tea Party”. The meeting elected fifty-six delegates from the colonies except Georgia. Georgia did not want to upset Britain because they required help from Britain about Georgia’s Native American problem.
Unveiling the Catalysts Behind the Boston Tea Party The Boston Tea Party was one of the major turning points in America. It was caused by a mix of wanting an independent nation and mostly aggression toward Great Britain for its unfair laws against the colonists. These laws included the Sugar, Stamp, Townshend, and Tea Acts. Overall, the Boston Tea Party boils down to a convergence of political tensions and economic grievances. This act of defiance, characterized by dumping tea into Boston Harbor, symbolized the intensifying resistance among the colonies and catalyzed the American Revolutionary War.
Here is a little summary of the Boston tea Party. So the Boston tea Party was organized by a group of Patriots that was led by Samuel Adams, well known as the Sons of Liberty were made by a few groups of males. Also the Boston tea Party happened as a result of the “taxation without representation”, but as always there were many causes. For example, the American colonists believe that Britain was being unfair taxing them, to pay for expenses incurred during the French and Indian War. But as some of us know that the colonists believed that Parliament had no right to tax them.
The Boston Tea Party was carefully and thoroughly planned as the Bostonian 's were not to do anything until December 17, 1773. On that day they were to dress as Indians, equipped themselves with either a small hatchet or a tomahawk, and paint their faces with coal. As they got to Griffin’s wharf they separated into three groups and Leonard Pitt was the commander of George Hewes’ Crew. At this point Pitt orders Hewes to retrieve the keys from the captain for the hatches and candles. Next, the commanders orders them to take the tea filled chests, split them open and throw them overboard.
Taxes! After the French and Indian War, the British government needed money to pay for the cost of protecting the colonists from the French and Indians. The British government approved several taxes including the Stamp and Tea Acts to help pay for the costs of the war. The colonists were expected to pay these taxes.
The French and Indian War was important to the American Revolution because the debt from the war was the reason that Parliament started taxing the colonists. Also, the French and Indian War made Britain very weak, making the colonists’ actions work a whole lot better. Since France was not happy with the outcome of their war with Britain this was a main reasons for France’s interest in helping the now Americans throughout the Revolutionary War, which was very important to the colonies’ victory. The reason why Britain started to tax the colonists was because of the debt resulting from the French and Indian War. The first tax was the the tax on sugar, which was put on the colonists to help pay off the war debt.
One of the most iconic acts of rebellion from American history is the Boston Tea Party. Dressed as Indians, the Brothers of Liberty snuck onto three boats and dumped British-backed East India Trading Company tea into the Boston Harbor. This was in response to unfair taxation being implemented on the American Colonies. That was some 200-plus years ago when times were very different, but through their acts of bravery and courage, they have inspired a movement today called the Tea Party Movement. Different from the Boston Tea Party, the Tea Party Movement is a political group rather than one act of rebellion.
The Boston Tea Party was a violent, courageous, and an eventful act that took place in 1997 because of constant disputes. It started to become a large issue when the British and English colonist constantly disagreed about the unfair taxes that were charged from the British. The colonists didn’t agree to the taxes at all the the government officials formed a plan. The British put such a hefty tax on the tea because they realized the demand was so outrageously high, and they could make a much larger profit off of it. Colonists did not want to pay the huge taxes, so they started buying/smuggling tea from East India, but the British wanted to have the colonists to buy tea from them because of the taxes.
The Boston Tea Party was a major event in history that occurred on December 16, 1773 in Boston, Massachusetts (which tomorrow, by the way, is the 242nd anniversary, so it is a bit ironic that my paper is due on its anniversary). On the night of the 16th, 100 Bostonians disguised themselves as Indians under the leadership of the Sons of Liberty, smashed a total of 342 tea chests in a span of three hours that had been delivered into the harbor, and had dumped the contents of the chest into the Atlantic Ocean. The Bostonians that had disguised themselves as Mohawks smartly and conveniently avoided detention by the officials that would have caught them and horribly punished them. Their dressing up as Mohawk Indians symbolized that the Sons
The Revolutionary War was probably one of the most detrimental effects of The Boston Tea Party. The Colonists were talking of uniting and taking action against Great Britain, so they formed the First Continental Congress. The Congress encouraged the people to resist King George and the British Parliament’s attempt at taxing them and the Colonies were beginning to rebel. This proved that the Americans were ready to fight against Great Britain. The Revolutionary War broke out not long after and the Colonists exited the war victorious.
The boston tea party occurred when colonist as a way of rebelion attack british by throwing the tea that they found in their ships. And some people wonder why they did that and historic events show that there were French Indian War before that make the colonists to have an economic crisis so they can pay for the products. And the unique product that haven’t tax was the tea.

The Boston Tea Party was a symbolic event of the Revolution, but one can speculate with a good degree of certainty that it would not have occurred if not for the series of historic events in Boston and other colonies that preceded it. The Boston tea party was a result of The Stamp Act, The Currency Act, and The Tea Act. Since Great Passed these three laws it angered many of the colonist and resulted in The Boston Tea Party. The Currency Act was the first of many new laws that Great Britain had created that the many of the colonist angry. The Currency Act was a law the prohibited American colonist from using there own American money to buy goods from England.
There were many disagreements and because of those, many events were the cause of the American Revolution. These events included bloodshed by others, peoples rights weren’t enforced, individuals didn’t receive freedom, and our country was just not yet whole. Despite of the causes of why the road to Revolution took place there were effects afterwards. When American Revolution was over with the The Declaration of Independence came into place, treaties were signed, and the Bill of Rights. Now these effects/events were amazing, it helped our country tremendously.
