The Boston Tea Party was a political protest of taxes without representations and wanting to tax the tea to send it back. The party had many acts to go along with it. They passed the Tea Act in 1773 which was to put no taxes on the tea. From the Boston Tea Party the word “terrorism” came from it. The Boston Tea party was the one party that led up to the Revolutionary War. Boston Tea party is still here today, and can affect us. The Boston Tea Party started in December 16, 1773, which was a group a Patriots led by Samuel Adams which there names were The Sons of Liberty. They were protesting under the British rule, there was only about 180 people that participated in the Boston Tea party. There was no deaths but there was more damage. From the party there was more destruction and damage but no one dead from dumping the chests of tea into the harbor. The Sons of Liberty were trying to pass by “disguised” American Indians. They were also passing Intolerable Acts which caused a big problem so that started the protests. The Acts made the big cause and protests and caused a bigger trouble. They made a phrase which was “Taxation without representation” it was about how the British was unfairly taxing them. The cause of the Boston Tea Party was that the Patriots were mad and they didn't exist for the Parliament so they said “the law is being unfair and mean”. But the taxes and all the Acts now then supported the tea to get shipped but the taxes and the payment didn't want to get paid by the British. Since all the taxes of the ships didn't want to get paid they dressed up like Indians to dump the tea into the harbor, it was because of the unfair taxes that was happening. The effect of the Tea Party was that all the acts that were passed made all the colonists become rebels. Now they pay the taxes
