Thunk! Thunk! Thunk! Woo! A brief celebration erupts in the classroom as the bottle finally lands. The teacher is stationed at the board, tearing her hair out in frustration. Nobody even acknowledging that she is teaching. This bottle-flipping craze has caused pandemonium in homes and classrooms alike. I believe that bottle-flipping is pointless and distracting, and should be stopped immediately. Bottle-flipping is a pointless trend that has suddenly appeared in the world after a teenager by the name of Mike Senatore created a viral video. In the video, Senatore simply flicks his wrist and the bottle lands perfectly onto a table. This teen from Ardrey Kelly high school in Charlotte has created an internet craze that has only grown further in popularity. Bottle-flipping takes very precise movements and skill. Consequently, more than one flip will most likely be made. The more you continue to flip a water-bottle, the more you won’t want to stop. The addiction can take away from other things that you could be doing, which is even more reason for you to stop.
Furthermore, bottle-flipping is distracting. In class, students can be seen flipping their water-bottles with just a flick of a wrist. The annoying thud and unnecessary celebration takes away from more productive things, such as studying. In addition, students around you will hear the noise you’re making and not be able to focus on what they’re doing. All around, the distraction that bottle-flipping causes is pointless.
Finally, bottle-flipping is just plain useless. What is the point of it? There are so many more things that you could be doing, such as writing, reading, or exercising. Bottle-flipping is just a waste of time. The concept of bottle-flipping is simply pointless, which is why I think it should just
