What to expect from a boudoir photography shoot The art of boudoir photography is getting more popular by the day. People especially women are more aware of this form of photography. Although, boudoir photography gained popularity in the 1940’s, the modern world just got a hang of it and the acceptance by both sexes has been viewed as positive. As a photographer with a boudoir studio in Calgary, I have learnt, via my years of experience in boudoir photography to master the art of creating elegant, sexy and classy photos of women wearing next to nothing without making it look offensive in any way. When a client scouting for a good boudoir photographer comes to my studio, I try to get them to understand what I do, how I make the muse, lady to be photographed, feel comfortable enough in front of the camera. I try to ease the minds of anxious, curious clients. This to me is key as it gives them a peek at the treatment they will get from me, when we get to shooting boudoir photos. You also get to see my boudoir portfolio and all the packages I offer. I also tell my clients if they do not feel comfortable with me (I do not see why they shouldn’t), to try someone else. There is no need wasting time trying to be comfortable in front of the camera if they really don’t feel it, it shows in the photos, messing up the true essence of the shoot. Locations for the Boudoir photo shoot Although, I have a well equipped Boudoir studio, with chairs, bed sets and backdrops for different scenes, I also give my clients the option of choosing the location they would love to shot in. A hotel room or a private location could be used. In the studio to further loosen the mood, I provide drinks, a session of makeup and hair styling, if my client would want some. This to make the shoot one of the best experiences they have
