Boxer is a horse who held an important role in Orwell’s parable about the tyranny of power. His incredible strength and loyalty plays a key role in the early prosperity of Animal Farm. From his very first introduction, Boxer is accredited with immense strength and his unquestionable devotion to animalism. Repeatedly, his incredible strength and determination is vital to the survival of the farm and he eagerly launches himself into the front of the Rebellion. Boxer is also shown lending his strength/time for the good of the farm when building the windmill. Likewise, he is a significant military asset who is loyal to Napoleon.
