The fashion here is certainly better than ours. Women dress in linen and wool clothing. It is usually more conservative than men’s clothing. I befriended a kind craftswoman who helped me fit in. She told me all about Egyptian fashion which I will write about. I bought a simple sheath dress, a rectangular piece of cloth folded once and sewn down the edge to make a tube. The dress extends from a few inches above the ankles to just above or just below the chest. The noblewomen wear a shawl, or sari. Those are very popular among upper class women.
