The Challenging Exploration of my Strengths and Weaknesses in a Classroom Experience The academics at Brandeis University can be challenging and filled with workload, yet that is what converts them in rather compelling, fulfilling, and interesting courses. I think I expect every class I take, during these four undergraduate years, to fulfill me in all these distinct aspects. I expect to dig deeper into subjects, I expect my mind to be challenged, I expect the energy and passion from professors in the classroom experience. I expect to take all this knowledge wherever I go after this stop—in the end, Brandeis is only a temporary stop in my life’s journey, but I want to get the best of it. One of the courses I am most eager about exploring is anthropology. Regardless of never being able to take a course on the subject, I am compelled to explore more about myself in anthropology. Specifically, the sociocultural branch of the subject, because I keep wondering whether the culture in which an individual is born in, affects somehow the overall experience of that person. I mean, why is it easier for people, coming from the same background, to bond together? Also, why is it more complicated for two people from different cultures to understand each other? Nevertheless, I do not see it as a pitfall at all. I see it as a crucial part of my classroom experience here at Brandeis University. I see it as an opportunity to explore and become more confident about what I end up doing. When I mention exploring, I mean going further into the subjects that have spark my attention, such as, English, Hispanic studies, theater, romantic languages, etc. Thus, I would not consider undecided a weakness, rather a strength because it implies exploring, which I think is a strength or is a form of study that helps you develop and solidify a
