Rationale After reading the novel “A brave new world” written by Aldous Huxley which is about an uncomfortably sterile and controlled futuristic society usually referred as “the world state”. I decide to write an informal diary about Bernard’s life because I have the necessity to express how he feels and what he thinks about Lenina. Also I write about Bernard’s friend called Helmholtz because he consider him as one of those friends who understand him. It was written with a relaxed and depressive tone and I hope to address a normal group of teenagers with basic knowledge on literature. In my diary, I tried to use a simple language to make it more comprehensive and understandable to the teenagers with phrase like “I don’t find anything that makes me be happy”. I hope that she enjoys the place. Well, the night comes and I am disappointed because the Savage Reservation is not like I expect that I was. Lenina was acting so disgusting and disappointed too. She told that she wasn’t happy to come, those people were savage and they have a bad smell, that was disgusting for me too. I wish I had never brought Lenina to this place, the people here looks like they don’t have any sense of their live and they live to live. The only good thing that happen is that I meet John, The Savage, he told us that when he comes to the reserve he had to learn how to fight to survive, also he told us that in the reserve he was rejected because of his white skin. I feel sad when I hear his story because I see with my own eyes how the people live there, with puberty, misery, don’t have anything to eat and also, they are afraid of being killed so they have to learn how to
