One decision can affect all parties whether in a home or in public. Some choices often are misleading and offensive to witnesses. The act of a mother feeding her baby naturally is a rising issue. Although there are two sides to the issue of breastfeeding in public, if both groups would come to an understanding it would be beneficial to all. Most witnesses argue that breastfeeding in public attracts negative attention that often lead to the mother being ridiculed for doing what is natural. In the public's eye, such an act can lead the nursing mother to be physically attacked by an individual whom cannot control himself or whom appear to be physically aroused. Attracting such unwanted attention can also lead to being harassed by witnesses that feel uncomfortable at the sight of a mother nursing her baby naturally. Although breastfeeding is not act of indecent exposure, bystanders often ask to have law enforcement to remove the mother and baby from the public. Not only does the exposure offend people, the sucking sound the baby makes, during feeding time, also makes some feel very uncomfortable. Other issues that may be included are that children witness such an act may begin to ask inappropriate questions. When younger children witness the breastfeeding they are exposed to what comes naturally, but also exposed to what is indecent in today’s society. The society today is under the impression that one should not have to see any part of the humans “sexual part” of the body. In this case the breasts fall under the same category. Covering her and the baby with any type of cover may also make the baby uncomfortable, in which the baby may refuse to feed. There are instances that a mother may not like having the extra item in the diaper bag if it will not be put to use. Therefore mothers who breastfeed may ask for special recommendations. There are a few places that provide more private areas that a nursing mother can feed her baby. With this, a mother is more at ease breastfeeding in public and bystanders are not distracted or offended by her decisions. This issue becoming a rising problem, it needs be resolved with more accommodations for both parties. Some public businesses also do accommodate nursing mothers and her baby with extra privacy or care. A mother breastfeeding in public is a growing issue. Knowing her rights and scouting out which business would have the extra accommodations, makes a difference in how bystanders react to such activity. With witnesses opposing to the idea of breastfeeding in public, they feel that a mother is breaking the law. Therefore the general outcome should be that there are more designated areas for nursing
