Brett Favre is a hall of fame quarterback from Mississippi. Mississippi is in the Appalachian area. Favre came from a smaller town setting and went to a small college and still made his way up to hall of famer status. Favre is one of the best athletes from the Appalachian area.
When Brett Favre was still in school he started playing baseball and football, he could play quarterback, lineman, strong safety, and place kicker. His father was the head coach of the football team and encouraged Brett to practice to keep developing his game. He was raised in small town Kiln, Mississippi. After graduating from high school in 1986, she attended community college in Poplarville on a basketball scholarship, subsequently transferring to the University of Southern Mississippi to finish her degree. At age 20, Deanna became pregnant and gave birth to Favre's daughter, Brittany Nicole, on February 6, 1989.
