NASA’s Space Shuttle orbiter Challenger was a expected to be a reusable space plane that could carry astronauts and payloads to low earth orbits. NASA had hoped it could profit from launching private and military satellites into space. Unfortunately this was an illusion as cost for the challenger and space exploration rose past the expected budget. This left NASA struggling to find funding for Challenger. As funding disappeared, flaws became apparent in corporate structure , interpersonal dynamics, and in the chain of command of Morton Thiokol and NASA that contribute ultimately to Challenger's tragedy.

James Watson once said, “The brain is the most complex thing we have yet discovered in our universe”. It is responsible for every single movement in our body; from thinking, learning, breathing, creating memories and more. But the brain is not always perfect. We all have occasional “brain farts” or misperceptions of the world around us. Sometimes we believe that we have experienced vivid moments that we have never actually been through.
In Harry Ammon’s book, The Genet Mission, the author describes how the impact of Edmond Genet, who served as ambassador to the United States of the newly formed French Republic, affected the United States who was divided on the issue of neutrality in the Wars of the French Revolution. Genet attempted to persuade the United States into fostering relations with the new French nation through the creation of a French influence in the states while he rallied American support to enter into the wars that were plaguing Europe. However, the author’s message to the audience shows how vital Genet was, not just in terms of foreign affairs of the United States, but also in its domestic policies. Before starting, it is important to take an in-depth examination of Ammon’s thesis. Ammon rationalizes that the affairs of the ambassador were significant in the development of the political parties of the country.
Society, as large as it is, will always breed ignorance, and when that ignorance comes about, it leads to hate. In Ray Bradbury’s science fiction novel, The Martian Chronicles, multiple themes are brought up criticizing the values of 1940’s America. One of the more prominent themes is the racism and xenophobia that was widespread during that time period. Bradbury’s writing displays the belief that racism is wrong, however, it will never truly dissipate. One of the most bigoted characters in the novel, Samuel Teece, is a prime example of Bradbury’s feelings on the issue.
Readers never know what could happen next in The Martian, whether it will be good, bad, or something else. For Watney, problems pop up right after they end, and one small mistake could be the end of him. An example is, “I’m screwed, and I’m gonna die! … I’m writing this to you … from Rover 2. You may wonder why I’m not in the Hab right now.
This shows that there was a justified purpose of the study. In conclusion, although morally wrong, the study was justified and had purpose.

I arrived at the testing location an hour early, which did not help soothe my nerves at all since I sat there doing nothing, watching the waiting room slowly drain of people. Again, I tried to reassure myself, but it wasn’t helpful. When the waiting room was finally empty, I heard my name. The waiting was finally over, and I walked into the room. The examiner seemed pleasant, although in my head, I realized that he was trained to do that.
“This is… a holy war. All of human history has led to this moment. If we lose… we’ll be the last of our kind. It will be a planet of apes. And we will become your cattle” (War for the Planet of the Apes).
The experiment was executed well. Yet, there are unethical practices happened during the experiment. First, the participants were not fully informed about the experiment. I think the movie Interstellar is mostly based on emotions and logic. It’s director Christopher Nolan said that The further out into the infinite we went and the more we isolated these characters who have to go across the universe, the more the focus naturally becomes on their humanity, on that intimate bond they have, what makes us human, all those issues{1}. I think what’s important for us to be humans is care for others more than ourselves .It helps in us in taking risks we usually fear to take to help others. The 2014-movie Interstellar directed by Christopher Nolan had a lot of people’s effort who did research in order to make the movie more realistic to real life experience.
