Sheila Labarre was born on July 4 1958 in Forte Payne, Alabama. Her given name was Sheila Kaye Bailey. She was the youngest of 6 brothers and sisters and was raised by both her mother and her father. Sheila was sexually abused by her father and a family friend starting at the age of two. Her father and mother physically and emotionally abused Sheila. She tried to commit suicide in her early twenties and had a thirty-day stay in a mental hospital. Sheila married her first of three husbands when she was twenty-three years old. Her first marriage lasted less than a year. When she was 27 years old she met Dr. Wilfred LaBarre through a personal ad. About a year later, she marries that same man, Wayne Ennis. During their 16-month marriage she reports to the police that he beats her and they get a divorce. Sheila was charged with assault by her boyfriend when she was 37, and he was 27. Sheila’s common law husband, Dr. Labarre died when Sheila is 42 years old in 2000. Though it was never proved, Dr. LaBarre’s family strongly believe that Sheila is the reason why he died. During 2002-2003 she assaults Wayne Ennis by trying to run him over, attempting to shoot him, and physically attacking him. In 2004 Sheila meet her first reported victim, Michael Deloge. He moved in with her to help her with the upkeep of her farm and had previously been in homeless shelters. Sheila has him move in and reports to her sister during the first month that Kenneth has demon eyes and she thinks he is a pedophile. During this time she is abusive to Kenneth while making him make a recording of his voice reading a confession to being a pedophile. She took him to Wal-Mart where an employee takes a picture of Kenneth in a wheel chair cart looking beat up with huge gas cans in the basket on March 17. On March 23rd, Sheila calls the Epping police department to tell them Kenneth has left her. Police officer’s go to Sheila’s home on the 24th of March to do a well-being check on Kenneth at the request of his mother. There is no sign of Kenneth but Sheila is acting crazed and avoided looking at the police. One of the officers noticed a bone in a smoldering fire pit. When they asked Sheila what it was, she stated it was from one of her bunnies, or a pedophile. She refused to allow them to take anything and they left to get a warrant (Flynn, 2010).
Sheila took off and reportedly had sex with two different men in two days until she was found in Massachusetts. The police found Kenneth’s remains in a fire pit as well as other personal belonging to people who have yet to be identified (Benson,
