Sheila Labarre was born on July 4 1958 in Forte Payne, Alabama. Her given name was Sheila Kaye Bailey. She was the youngest of 6 brothers and sisters and was raised by both her mother and her father. Sheila was sexually abused by her father and a family friend starting at the age of two. Her father and mother physically and emotionally abused Sheila. She tried to commit suicide in her early twenties and had a thirty-day stay in a mental hospital. Sheila married her first of three husbands when she was twenty-three years old.
