Ryan Crowe 9-30-14 Block D Ungifted By Gordon Korman Donovan Curtis is a very ungifted boy. He is more of a trouble maker. He likes to fool around and play funny pranks in school. That does not get him far in the story. When Donovan plays a big prank on his middle school by rolling a big bronze expensive globe through a glass door it destroys a multi-million dollar statue in the middle of one of his schools biggest basketball game. Donovan ends getting in big trouble with the Superintendent of schools. He ends up costing the school big money and also the school can't use the gym. The superintendent intends to send him to a delinquent school for trouble makers but he ends up getting sent to a school with very smart kids by accident. This school is called (ASD) the Academy of Scholastic Distinction. Donovan notices that the students here are very smart and that their IQ level is very high as in genius. Donovan meets a boy and a girl named Noah Youkilis and Chloe Garfinkle whose IQ is more than 200. They both don't like the academy they are in and they want to be in a normal school with normal kids. Donovan shows Noah Youtube and Noah starts making robotic videos on YouTube. So Donovan convinces his pregnant sister that she should teach at the academy and she does. She ends up teaching a class on Human Growth and Development which in Donovan's case it saves him from going to summer school. So there Abigail Lee is a girl who hates Donovan she knows that he is not nearly as smart as the other students. Donovans homeroom teacher ends up making him take the gifted test and he somehow passes.
