Winn-Dixie Final Summary the story is mostly about when Opal wants her mama and friends because she left the preacher and Opal and Opal learns NOT to judge the Deberry brothers to harsh.
It all started when Opal goes grocery shopping to get tomatoes and mac and cheese, she saw the manager waving his arms like crazy and saying,who let a dog in here!! Then Opal saw an ugly running around knocking down EVERYTHING and right after the manager said call the pound Opal said,That is my dog do not call the pound. after that Opal tells the preacher if she can keep Winn-Dixie.
Later that summer, Opal showers Winn-Dixie but instead of wagging his tail, he just stood still and Opal knew that Winn-Dixie did not like Opal showering Winn-Dixie so after that, the preacher said he smelled REAL good and then Opal and Winn-Dixie go to Gertrude’s pets to get a leash and a collar and Winn-Dixie and Opal find a really nice collar and leash but Opal finds it too expensive so Opal

my favorite part of the story is when Opal loses Winn-Dixie and finds Winn-Dixie in the house and I think the MOST important character is Opal because Opal rescued Winn-Dixie in the beginning when the manager said CALL THE POUND! And Opal said that’s my dog because Opal did not want Winn-Dixie to go to the pound. Without Opal saying ‘’That's my dog’’ Winn-Dixie would of go to the pound and Opal again would of not have meet Gloria, Miss Franny, Otis, and even Sweetie
