1. What do ethics mean in a broad context? Ethics simply means the determination of moral, good or bad.1 Morality is a way of life in which people express their feelings to differentiate their sense of judgement2 It can be regarded as a way by which society would normally distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable behaviour. Ethics is also described as philosophy of good ways for individuals and society3. It is a procedure for deciding on how we can act when we are confronted with complex problems and issues.1 There are descriptive and normative types of ethics. It was learnt from ethical theories that “the descriptive ethics are the illustrations of existing morality and is usually about facts” 2, 3 while “normative ethics illustrate the moral judgement content and the criteria for what is right”1, 2, 3.
