From the text, Broca’s aphasia is defined as an expressive language disorder resulting from damage to the Broca’s area of the frontal lobe of the brain. Strokes are common causes of most aphasias and one type of stroke known as an Ischemic stroke, happens when the blood supply to the brain is repressed because of a blockage in an artery. The girl in the video named Sarah suffered from aphasia and it was fairly obvious because of the symptoms she displayed. For example, I noticed that her speech was very slow and effortful and that she had a hard time putting words together to form complete sentences. Also, her speech was very dysfluent as she said “um” a lot and spoke in short telegraphic phrases. I think it would be hard for Sarah to be around
