Bros Before Pigs
In William Golding’s novel Lord of the Flies, Ralph showed better leadership skills by standing up for himself and for others. He also kept order on the island which helped the boys keep peace with each other. Trying to get away from war, the kids take a plane out of England but end up crashing on a deserted island. The boys become friends with each other, then they start to turn savage. This is because they have been on the island for such a long time and they have forgotten about order which Ralph tries to keep but they start to turn there backs on each other. Ralph starts to recognize what has happened on the island, and he knows he will never be the same. His innocence is not just lost, it can never return because he has seen the savage side of human nature and the worst that people can do. …show more content…

That he wants to be a person in charge to show everyone how to be safe and follow him so no one will get hurt. "I'm chief," said Ralph, "because you chose me. And we were going to keep the fire going. Now you run after food" (9).Ralph shows great leadership skills here when he is
