Art Direction For my next body of art, I will continue with the idea of a brothel. There is a stigma that sex is a bad thing unless it’s in the house with a partner to who they are married. I understand that there are some unfortunate events that happen in the world where sex is used as a weapon to oppress and control people. But mutual and consenting people should not feel ashamed for taking part in commercial intercourse, and to do so in a safe welcoming environment is no small feat. I want this brothel to contain paintings, illustrations, and 3d works of art. I envision a series of painted triptics for this space that will consist of sex workers ranging in size, race, and gender within the legal age of consent. Each individual person will have a single triptic. The first panel will be the worker in their state of comfort, when they are not performing their duties. The second panel will be a provocative image of them in alluring posture and dress, ready to take on clients. Both man and women should accept that sex is action that every creature on this plant does. Some people pay for sex in forms of gifts, drinks, or food every day. Being a sex working doesn’t mean they are unintelligent; That they have no dignity or a right to love themselves. I also want this series to help those with body image issues. You don't need to look like a model im magazines for people to find you attractive. To challenge women's work, and add men to the forefront of sex workers. sex work is the oldest profession. There is a reason for it, people are willing to buy just as much as they are people willing to sell. I hope these series help open people to experience the human conditions, and to help them understand the stories that are behind them. To see sex workers as humans again and not objects without
