In Brown v. Board of Education, was a landmark United States Supreme Court case for seeking the aid of the courts for securing admission of negro in the public schools of the community on a nonracial basis which was attended by white children which displayed judicial activism by Supreme Court further led to an end to segregation, social equality for blacks and permitted them to attain a respected position in the American society. This case also overturned the ruling of Plessy v. Fergson which stated equality of facilities and treatment but according to the race they belong to. Education for Negros was almost fictitious and virtually all the races were illiterate and was prohibited in certain states by law.
