The best leader for Rome is Antony because he has shown important qualities of being a good leader, however Brutus and Cassius lack some of these qualities. First things first to be a good leader you need to have these seven fundamental leadership qualities: Integrity, passion, courage, vision, judgment, empathy, and emotional Intelligence. These seven qualities have to be used in a good way in order to be considered a good leader. Being a good leader means that you are willing to take risks and having the confidence that you will win. Keep this man safe. Give him all kindness” ( 5.4.27-29). Because he understands Brutus position towards Rome. This not only shows Anotony’s respect for Brutus but it also shows what kind of person he is. Antony is a nice and trustworthy person, because earlier in the play he’s shown he can be trusted when Caesar asks him to kiss his wife. Anthony has empathy because of his sympathy of caesar death and respecting his challenger. If Antony were to kill Brutus, Antony would not be fit for the ruler of Rome because Brutus is important to Rome. Brutus would not be fit for Rome. For example Brutus has judgment, but not good ones, because Brutus misjudges Cassius as being trustworthy even when Cassius says he is dangerous. For example “ Caesar doth bear me hard, but he loves Brutus. If I were Brutus now, and he were Cassius, He should not humor me” (1.2.325). This shows the reader that Brutus misjudged Cassius. “ You have condemned and noted Lucius Pella For taking bribes here of the Sardians” ( 4.3.2-3). When Cassius says this he is speaking to Brutus, If Brutus was more mindful he would have realized that Cassius is not a nice or trustworthy person. This quote shows Cassius blaming Brutus for something he did not do. This results to Brutus not making good judgments about who he can …show more content…
Cassius always disliked caesar and seemed jealous of caesar the fact that he had everything which was Rome and Brutus a true friend. Also to mention he manipulated Caesar’s close friend into killing him. “ When thou didst hate him worse, thou lovedst him better than ever hou loveds Cassius.” (4.3.117-119). This shows that cassius is clearly jealous that Brutus might like caesar more then him which doesn't show much empathy for Brutus. Cassius doesn't have empathy for Rome nor Brutus because he got Brutus to kill Caesar, and he also killed Rome's leader ( Caesar ). Cassius jealousy and selfishness is not a sign of a good leader. This weakness shown by Cassius helps Antony look like a better leader. Given these points Caesar's death brings war. “Antony the posture of your blows are yet unknown”. (5.1.34-35). The quote means that Antony does not know how to fight or has never experienced fighting before, but he still shows passion for his determination to fight in the war without any
