The goal and responsibility of the speaker is not to abandon their own beliefs and convictions but to be tolerant, honest and present information that is clear and inoffensive, using sound evidence without the use of manipulation or without any hidden agendas. For this reason, it is paramount that the speaker communicates honestly with the audience by presenting both sides of the argument in order to receive a more positive response. Be honest: This attribute not only allows the audience to see you as trustworthy, but in fact, it helps the speaker to gain credibility. Claiming or offering false information is a reflection on the speaker's character. Moreover, misleading the audience may have dire consequences. It is therefore the responsibility of the speaker to give correct information. 2. Be sensitive to and tolerant of differences: Being cognizant of the audience's differences, whether it be their interest, beliefs and needs, the speaker's responsibility is to be sensitive and tolerant in the public speaking process. Respecting the audience members will not only allow the speaker to see things from their prospective but will become better at communicating with the audience. 3. Use sound evidence and reasoning: Avoid misleading the audience and making false statements deliberately. It is important to present an argument that is logical and credible.
