In this assignment I will be explaining how the results of measuring and managing performance inform employee development within the business Kellogg’s. Staff within the business can be encouraged to carry out better work and meet their targets in different ways some of which I will explain below. I will be looking at three different roles within the business and analyse how the business manages and measures their performance.

The first employee’s performance I will be looking at within the business Kelloggs is a cleaner. The reason why Kelloggs employees cleaners is for them to ensure the business is clean and hygienic for the production team to produce products which Kelloggs will then retail for their customers and consumers. The business Kelloggs can measure and manage their performance by setting them smart targets which the business will need to meet. If employees need support of something the business will offer the training which is necessary in order for he production team to meet their aims and objectives. This is beneficial for the business as the employees will work harder if they get the best out of their employees. Furthermore the business can also keep track of their employees if they set them smart targets which they need to follow. This is because employees will have a deadline which they need to meet. Which will allow them time to prioritise their work and get it done on time. In addition Kelloggs can consider benchmarking this is when the business will set targets and compare their employees to others within the business. Doing this will help increase profits as the employees will be pushed to work harder and meet all aims and objectives of the business. If the business sets targets it will allow the Kelloggs management team to keep an eye on their employees and track their progress and communicate with employees when
