computer which we are using or trying to type this assignment is uses microprocessor and also it named as CPU. Processor or CPU (central processing unit) is a brain of computer, and many company is producing this CPU such as PowerPC, Pentium and others but for producing this all the companies are using the same way to produce it. Actually it controls all the functionality of CPU of computer or other electronically device. The first function of CPU is controlled by single integrated circuit. Firstly the CPU is programmed to have functions for input and output form other components of every electronically devices. Nowadays CPU’s are used in every electronically devices such as calculators, mobile phones, computers and automobiles, and it can …show more content…

It is the fourth generation and it has some features such as:
• It has independent four cores
• Two ways of multithreading per CPU cores
• Also it built in DDR3 and DRAM controllers
DDR3 is a DRAM interface specification, it stores data which is similar to earlier types with similar performance.
Which it hast two slot for RAM, every user can put in their computer two RAMs or just one according to their amount or size of RAM. The other is if we want to use one we have to use slot one first if not it will not work.
• It integrated to L1, L2, L3 caches
Cache memory in CPU is used for reduce the average time to access data from main memory. Cache is fast which the functionality of cache is storing the copies of data which is frequently used in main memory. Most of CPU’s are using two caches which L1 and L2.
• L1 (level 1) cache its fast but the size of it small, and usually embedded in chip of processor.
• L2(level 2) cache the size of this level is bigger than level 1(L1) , and it located on CPU or separate chip whit high speed bus which interconnect cache to CPU, and it will not be slowed by traffic of main …show more content…

Intel Direct Media Interface (DMI) DMI is the name given to the link between Intel processor and its chip. DMI is used in several different processor and PCH implementation including all the type of processors. DMI is a bus which is high speed, and gives link between two chips. It supports 2GB/second transfer rates of each lanes. The DMI s 4 lanes *Transmit and Receive 2* differential signals 2= 16pins. It supports signaling of 2.5 billion transfers/second. Input and Output Interface
• PCI is one of the interface operation at 33MHz and allows number of external bus.
• Serial ATA (SATA) controls both legacy operation using input and output space and the advanced host controller interface using memory input and output.
• Integrated Drive Electronics (IDE) it controls hard disc and CD or DVD drives, and it used in same platform.
• System Management Bus it allows processor to communicate with system management bus
