Bun An Sun Everyone has objects that tell them about their characters, past, and who they are. There are many objects that tell a story in my life and my personality. It ranges from my colorful hat to my pair of awesome black Nike shoes, but something that is really important to me and presents exactly who I am is Jewelry. It is a gold chain with a wood Buddha pendant. It is significant to me not because of its value, but it was a gift from my grandfather before he passed away. Running your fingers over the chain feels cold and smooth like marble mantle. The chain itself has a unique, and undefined shape looking like a section of sugarcane. There is a chain that joins between “sugarcane” to another “sugarcane,” which make it more chic and elegant. Through the decoration of the chain can express my identity and nationality because in western country, people rarely see this kind of style in jewelry, yet it usually appeals in my home country. The outer of Buddha pendant is covered with the gold frame on the sides and the back that makes it more constant and luxurious. The substance of wood is not easy to decay and feel warm when holding it. The color is black and in very good shape so far. The Buddha pendant is carved from brilliant old wood. This piece of wood comes from one kind of tree called “nag nun.” Nag nun tree can live 1000 years without decay and is almost extinct from the world.
