Subject: Improving Business Communication in the Workplace

As I am sure you are aware, there have been a few mishaps in the recent weeks. We have had several employees hospitalized for injuries that could have avoided. We have also had several security violations within our company. These are issues that I believe are easily correctable to prevent future losses in company profit and reliability.
Last Thursday, October 19th, we had two employees injured on a job site due to improper usage of a ladder. Only a week before that, we had five more employees hospitalized from an electrical shock due to lack of knowledge on proper …show more content…

Business communication is “The sharing of information between people within an enterprise that is performed for the commercial benefit of the organization (Define Business Communication, n.d.). This type of communication is very important within any business, and has become a necessity here within our company. Improving business communication at all levels of our organization will lead to better understanding of policies by parties at all levels and will foster an improved level of trust and reliability.
Business communication can be used in all areas of operation within our company. In the training department, I would like to set up a more structured system. We can develop a training schedule and a requirement that must be met by each employee on a monthly basis. I believe that clear and concise written and verbal communication within our training program will help prevent many of our issues in safety. I also believe that by giving our employees more training and one on one time with the more knowledgeable members of our organization, we will increase their willingness to take on more tasks with
