I am applying for Business and Entrepreneurship because I want to start and manage my own company after graduation. I am now studying Mathematics and Statistics at Strathclyde because I always knew that Mathematics would give me useful skills in life. However, I have now realised that by itself it will not help me reach my true goal which is to become an entrepreneur.
After high school, I had to take a gap year because SAAS only funds students that are 3+ years resident within Scotland. I first moved from Italy to the United Kingdom with very limited English in December 2013. I initially struggled to integrate myself into a new country’s High School environment however with perseverance I managed to build strong relationships with my peers, and I managed to get involved with the schools’ community. Relocating has given me the ability to change my learning pace drastically because I wanted to be able to communicate as fluently and clearly as everyone else around me.

I initially joined the company under a temporary contract that would have then been converted, after 3 months, into a permanent contract only if my performance was consistent and met the weekly targets set by the site. 30 people were part of my unit and only 3 managed to get a permanent offer by the company, and I was one of them.
