Subject: ENGL253 Business Meeting
Last week, my group members and I had a discussion on the summaries we have bought for our business meeting. The meeting took place on February 3rd, 2016 in our ENGL253 class. The following memo is on a business articles we have discussed in class.
As you have requested from our business meeting last week, I’ve summarized the article “Workplace equality depends equally on men and women” by Mia Pearson that was publish in The Globe and Mail, on November 26, 2015. A link to the article is attached for your convenience.
In the article, Mia Pearson explain what had happen at a conference she was speaking at in Toronto. The topic was about advancing women in business, which is a topic she often talks about at conferences, or at various organizations, but at this certain conference, there were a few men in the audience as one of them asked the question of “What can we, as men, do to help support the women on our teams?”

• Even though women are making things change in the workforce but there isn’t enough that is changing.
• Pearson said she still believes in helping out women in building their careers, but the concern is in the senior leaders in the organizations to help out the women in more of an active role instead of a behind the scene role.
