Tennessee Volunteers Southeastern Conference (SEC) Eastern Division (2014 record: 7-6) Head Coach: Butch Jones Offense: The fact the defense played well in 2014 was offset by the fact the offense just never seemed to be able to get things going. They only averages 28.9 PPG to go with 370.5 YPG of offense. The reasons for this lethargic display of offense would have to be turnovers (22), inexperience and a general lack of explosiveness on the part of the skilled players. For Coach Jones, at least one of those issues should be resolved as three of the four top Vols offensive players are returning in 2015. At quarterback, Jones used a platooning game plan that resulted in both Justin Worley (1579 yards, 12 TDs) and JR Joshua Dobbs (1206 yards, 9 TDs, 469 yards rushing, 8 rushing TDs) splitting time equally. After Worley's graduation, Dobbs should be set to step in and takeover the position full-time. SR WR Alton "Pig" Howard figures to again be the team's top target on the outside after catching 54 passes for 618 yards, but only 1 TD.
