In “The Promise” by C. Wright Mills, the author disuses the impact that change has on mankind. Sociological Imagination aspect is to learn about history and biography and how to keeping relations between two individuals in an established society. We should investigate in organizations and how people interact with others and influence our thoughts and actions. Moreover, he talks about awareness of the relationships between personal experience and wider society. Our lack of understanding affects our social order in society. He thinks like an Internationalist because his studies show that people’s interactions make society a stable system. However, Mills does not only want isolation on capitalism. He agrees that the separation is due to the modern split of work in society. C. Wright Mills states on page 2, “… intricate connections between the patterns of their own lives and the course of world history, ordinary men do not usually know what this connection means for the kinds of men they are becoming and for the kinds of history…” C. Wright Mills discusses about how personal troubles can connect to public issues and how an individual can affect the society we live in greatly because of those troubles and issues. For Example, on page 4 he mentions, “…Inside a marriage a man and woman may experience personal troubles, but when the divorce rate during the first four years of marriage is 250 out of every 1,000 attempts, this is an indication of a structural issue having to do with the institutions of marriage…” This shows a marriage between a man and woman can cause personal troubles, but will impact the society because the divorce rates will increase causing there to be more cases in court and it is failing the economy. Furthermore, in The Conflict Theory, Karl Marx says the way work is socially organized and how technology used will have a strong impact on every aspect on society. He states the central institutions of a Capitalism society is private properties, just like the interactions between Bourgeoisie and Proletarians. The relationships between different social societies of a capitalism society means class struggles because the power is at the different levels so Karl Marx stated to only make a middle class, where everything is distributed
