Introduction
Nursing requires a regulatory body to control its admission standards and requirements as well as the standards of practice. Self-regulation is a fundamental topic in the nursing profession, as it concerns ensuring the competence and conduct of nurses in Canada, where nursing is a self-regulated profession (cite). The College of Nurses of Ontario regulates the nursing profession in Canada, where all nurses have to participate in a quality assurance program to maintain their competency and grow their knowledge. As part of the College of Nurses of Ontario Quality Assurance program, I will discuss the CNO, self-regulation, and the nursing profession as a soon-to-be registered nurse in Canada. Nurses maintain professional standards, enhance patient safety, and improve the quality of care with self-regulation and self-assessments. By establishing requirements for entry into practice, the College of Nursing in Ontario ensures the self-regulation of nurses, such as having to be a member of the CNO in Ontario (cite). Additionally, the CNO promotes nurse practice standards that apply to all nurses, regardless of their job role. This is evident as the courses and manual I will complete will adhere to the public confidence in the nursing profession as I have the necessary educational background to administer injections and provide health teaching. As well as adhering to the nurse's duty to health by teaching patients about procedure side effects and what to do and not do after the procedure. As well as the public confidence in the cosmetic industry by promoting my page on Instagram and with my social media followers, as it shows I am passionate about my work and shows how much thought goes into the medical clinic advertisement and client satisfaction
