Deep in downtown Waco one may find hole in the wall, Café Cappuccino, a local breakfast eatery located on 6th street in downtown Waco, Texas, just minutes from Baylor University. There are also two other Café Cappuccino locations, one being in Hewitt, Texas and another in a different Waco location. Café Cappuccino serves not only a wide variety of foods including pancakes, crepes, and egg meals, but also a wide variety of customers. In a single day, visitors can range from Waco locals to Baylor students. It is a great family friendly place to get breakfast and socialize with friends, but only if the customer is looking to wait for a while. Walking into Café Cappuccino, I was presently surprised to be seated immediately. Normally, …show more content…

In order to provide an accurate time of how long it took to receive our food, I started a timer from the time the waitress left our table to the time our food was delivered. As my friend and I sat waiting and waiting, I began to get concerned whether our food was ever going to come out. All of the tables around us had been served their meals, even the table of two next to us that came in twenty minutes after us. This again was shocking to me because the restaurant was not busy at all. In the end, after thirty minutes of waiting hungry, our food was delivered. While my meal came out exactly right, my friend’s meal was wrong. She had ordered a sandwich without lettuce and bacon on it and the sandwich came out with lettuce and bacon on it. After taking the first bite of my food, I was quick to finish the rest. Beginning with the pancakes, they are absolutely fantastic. Even though I only had a plain buttermilk pancake over the restaurant’s many flavored pancakes, they were flavorful, and not to mention huge. The pancake took up the entire circumference of the plate and then some. I also strongly enjoyed my eggs that were cooked to perfection sunny-side-up. They were definitely some of the best eggs I have ever had with the right amount of salt and pepper mixed in. My hash browns were delicious and exactly what I was hoping to get, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Similar to the eggs, the hash browns were seasoned perfectly as well. Finally, the bacon was delicious. In other breakfast locations, I have ordered bacon that has been thin, small, and cold. The bacon at Café Cappuccino is thick, juicy, and full of great flavor, all while being cooked to the perfect crispiness. Every bite I took of my meal made my mouth water. I enjoyed my eating experience at Café Cappuccino more than I would at similar chain restaurants such as IHOP or Denny’s. The food quality was of much higher standard, as I would expect it to be since the restaurant is local. Everything tasted like it had been freshly made, not just sitting under a heat
