According to this week’s lecture, this lecture discusses why is gold became significant through California, how was it formed, and where is it originally formed. Gold had been staying there for the long period of time, which is about eighty million years ago when volcanoes still remained active. During that time, magma was melted by hot lava. After it was melted, it cooled down and formed crystallization. And this is how gold was formed. And then referring to the nineteenth century, people found to be a most valuable and rich mineral and texture and they treated gold like money. As a result, it turned to be an increasingly amount of people from other country and states that showed up to California to become gold miners. Therefore California is a state that has the most golds and this is why California was famous known for goldrush. It reminded me of my childhood life, I had a field trip to the Oakland Museum as my fourth-grade trip. I was learning about gold mining and how to search for gold in the river. All of us were searching for gold and it was a lot of water that is used. I attempted to find as much gold as I can because I know that I get to take the gold home. And while I was searching for gold, I said to myself that we should have a gold mining era again because gold mining was really exciting and it looks very bright and shiny. Right now I still have a collection of my gold rush and I don’t want to throw it away or give it somebody else. Since I am keeping the history and thinking myself that I’m rich.
