Chapter 1: Hey that's Racist! Racism… Racism is when people are verbally or physically a bully because of your race. Some People will push you around or completely ignore you. Others might swear at you and say mean things to you. People sometimes do it for attention. Others do it because they think it's funny or cool. “Racism is man's gravest threat to man - the maximum of hatred for a minimum of reason stated Abraham Joshua Heschel.” I think he means people are racist for no reason. How can you stand against racism? Few people stand against racism while others just sit there and watch. A lot of people are racist because of their parents/older siblings. If people teach their kids that racism is wrong, I think racism will eventually go away. As of right now it is nowhere near ending because of gangs and other people that just go out and murder other races. Lots of people take advantage of racism by doing it to make friends laugh and just want other people to do things for them. For example, if a kid bullies a kid because of their race, the kid might do more for the bully. Chapter 2: Opinions I personally think racism is something stupid that shouldn't be here right now. What's the point of someone being mean to another person because the way they look. I mean come on. We are yelling and pushing people because the way they look? Parents need to teach there kids that it's wrong. People should blame the parents because if they taught them not to be racist, there would never be a racism problem. If parents of parents taught their kids to not be racist, they should also teach their kids not to be racist, and so on. If people never teach people not to be racist, it will always be a problem. You can’t just blame the parents tho. Some kids might be persuaded by other kids at their school. It's kind of like smoking or bullying another kid.
