I am responsible for developing modular processing plant concepts in conjunction with clients. I also support OPS directors communicate with potential investors and undertake financial analyses and project feasibility works. In the middle of 2017, OPS successfully won its first project, the Design and Installation of a modular Carbon in Leach (CIL) plant. I have been heavily involved in all aspects of this project from feasibility through to commissioning activities. Key Achievements: • Design and Construction of the Lorena Gold Mine Modular CIL plant together with the OPS team. This included design, procurement, project and construction management activities. • Working with OPS directors to secure OPS’s first client through the provision of feasibility reports, cost estimates and technical analysis. • Developed a relocatable modular processing plant from an idea to a costed concept. This allowed the mine to successfully expand its throughput from 3.5Mtpa to 4Mtpa. • Worked closely as part of a team of engineers and client metallurgists to add a new process to the processing plant. This unlocked approximately 1.9MT of previously worthless stockpiled ore for processing. • Designed and Installed a replacement tailings disposal line for the plant. This reduced the lines failure rate from once every two weeks to zero mechanical failures after 2+ years. • I actively worked to improve site safety. This included complete redesign and replacement of a rock breaker tower after serious structural defects threatened employee safety. • Repurposing of unused equipment to measurably improve dust emissions from the crushing circuit to the environment. • Modification and replacement of site equipment, including replacement of the primary screen and reduction of unwanted vibrations in crushing equipment.
