Career Paper
Earl Nightingale once said, “People with goals, succeed because they know where they 're going.”1Therefore, without goals a person will lose and not be successful. This paper will discuss career goals, professional aspirations, short term and long term goals and the salary obtained at a given time.
I have always wanted to work in the Air Force, whether an officer or enlisted. I was in ROTC; however, I was medically disqualified and could not continue in the program. I am a very hard working, driven person, and I want to join the military because I wanted a new better opportunity to show that. I like working alone on a project and then, come together with my peers to establish a plan and make things happen in the future. My strengthens are organized, task driven, leader, and determined, especially in the job force. Yet, my weaknesses are attempting to please everyone, being too hard on myself and discomfort with leaving a project unfinished. The academic subjects I have enjoyed the most were math, history and physics. Another reason I want to join the Air Force is because most of my family have enlisted. I believe that my family would be proud that I joined; however, they would hate that I will be gone a majority of the time and miss quality family time. Personally, I wanted to start my new life and family on the road and not in Texas. If I were to enlist my starting salary would be $19,659.60 per year, which is $1,638.30 month.2The Air Force is different for the enlisted side. For example, after you

My professional aspiration is to continue volunteering, having internships and other leadership roles to be the best airman I can be. My short term and long term goals intertwine with each other, such as graduating undergraduate and graduate school, as well as being financially stable in life. In summary, I am pleased with the salary on both ends and cannot wait to get
