For many young girls, like myself, want to help save lives and we don’t even have to save their life but just help them. This is why a nurse practitioner would be the best job too have. They don’t do major surgeries or anything like that but they do help just enough to keep someone healthy.

A career as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is a natural extension of my personal, educational, and research experiences. Although my path to nursing has not been a straight line, every experience that put me on this path has shaped my passion and dedication to psychiatric nursing. After losing loved ones to suicide at a young age, I made a promise to myself and to them that I would dedicate my life to helping individuals struggling with mental illness. This promise led me to study Psychology at UC Berkeley, where I fell in love with clinical research investigating the efficacy of treatments for mental illness.

Short-term goals for this problem would be that the patient will be able to verbalize the efficacy and potential side effects of at least one of her medications. Executive Summary When I started my undergraduate degree in Healthcare Management at Newbury College, I knew that I wanted to work in the healthcare field. At first, I was not sure what area I wanted to go into to, but I always thought that working for the elderly would be a good match for me. My short-term goal is to finish some prerequisites for nursing at University of Washington Tacoma and transferring into a Highline Community College and finish the rest of my core class requirements and graduate with an Associates in Pre-nursing by summer 2018. After that, I want to continue my education during the summer and start on my Certified Nursing Assistant program. My long-term goal is to finish up my two years exploring on which field I would like to acquire myself in and graduate in a University earning my bachelors of science in nursing. My ultimate career goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner. Even though i want to be a nurse, I do not plan on only working in healthcare facilities for the rest of my life. As stated above, my goal in life is to serve those that are misrepresented in health. One can not live their life or have quality of life without being healthy. A community or country cannot prosper if their citizens are not healthy.
Career Goal I have a few career goals such as becoming an ER registered nurse and a nurse practitioner but fist I want to be an ER registered nurse. For a long time now I could just envision myself in the blue scrub running out to the ambulance as the EMT rushed the patient into the hospital. And successfully collaborating with a team of people to save someone's life.
For a nurse to be in the nursing field they have to be able to understand how a patient thinks, feels, and understands. Psychology refers to human activities including education, events, employment, association, relationship and treatment of mental health difficulties. Everything we perform is much related to psychology. Basically psychology studies who and what we are, why we are like that, why we act and think like that and what we could be as a person and it’s a nurse job to find out all of this from the patient.
My career goal is to become a registered nurse. While I have not currently picked a concentration, I am leaning towards pediatrics or labor and delivery. Going to NYIT would help me with this goal because I would be able to earn my bachelor degree in nursing and then take the NCLEX and hopefully become a licensed, registered nurse. I want to become a nurse in order to help people. Ever since I was a child I have wanted to make a difference and help others who are in need.
