Hi everyone, My name in Oscar E Hermosillo and I am from the NAU-Yuma nursing program. I have lived since I was 7 years old in a small town called Somerton which is roughly about 10-15 miles south of Yuma. My goals for future nursing practice are kind of up in the air right now.
There are about 205,000 people who work as a nurse practitioner in the US. I do not know about you, but I would like to make the number increase up to 205,001. For many young girls, like myself, want to help save lives and we don’t even have to save their life but just help them. This is why a nurse practitioner would be the best job too have. They don’t do major surgeries or anything like that but they do help just enough to keep someone healthy.
Within the medical field, there are thousands of job opportunities. The career that intrigues me the most is nursing. Nurses are hands-on professionals who provide attentive and very personalized care. Their main job is to promote health, prevent disease and help their patients cope with illness. The nursing field offers a wide range of career options, which varies from entry-level practitioner to doctoral-level researcher.
A career as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is a natural extension of my personal, educational, and research experiences. Although my path to nursing has not been a straight line, every experience that put me on this path has shaped my passion and dedication to psychiatric nursing. After losing loved ones to suicide at a young age, I made a promise to myself and to them that I would dedicate my life to helping individuals struggling with mental illness. This promise led me to study Psychology at UC Berkeley, where I fell in love with clinical research investigating the efficacy of treatments for mental illness.

One of the positions a lot of people look into is Nurse Practitioner. When becoming a Nurse Practitioner, there are several benefits.
Nursing Management The first problem for this patient is disturbed sensory perception related to Schizophrenic Disorder as evidenced by auditory hallucinations. Short-term goals for this problem would be that the patient will be able to verbalize the efficacy and potential side effects of at least one of her medications. Nursing interventions for this goal would be the nurse asking and educating the patient on her medication and by the end of shift asking the patient to verbalize the understanding and benefits behind one medication.
Executive Summary When I started my undergraduate degree in Healthcare Management at Newbury College, I knew that I wanted to work in the healthcare field. At first, I was not sure what area I wanted to go into to, but I always thought that working for the elderly would be a good match for me. My goal is to get experience in the field and become an administrator of a nursing home. I will achieve my goals by using my skills in my advantage and get my dreams to come true. Career Goals
My short-term goal is to finish some prerequisites for nursing at University of Washington Tacoma and transferring into a Highline Community College and finish the rest of my core class requirements and graduate with an Associates in Pre-nursing by summer 2018. After that, I want to continue my education during the summer and start on my Certified Nursing Assistant program. My long-term goal is to finish up my two years exploring on which field I would like to acquire myself in and graduate in a University earning my bachelors of science in nursing. I would hope to work at Harborview Medical Center after and possibly chose my career path as a Pediatric Nurse. My decision on that is hoping to be a role model for younger children based on my
Registered Nurse “When I think about all the patient and their loved ones that I have worked on with over years, I know most of them don’t remember me nor I them, but I do know that I gave a little piece of myself to each of them and they to me and those threads make up the beautiful tapestry in my mind that’s my career in nursing.” By this I hope that by the end of the day, that the people I helped feel good and are happy, just I as I will for getting to help someone that needed it. Everyone says that they get into the nursing school, in order to get more money or because it “pays good”. What I honestly think if you just get in to nursing just for the “money” you’re going to hate it. That’s why if you get into nursing it should because you care about helping others in need.
My ultimate career goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner. Even though i want to be a nurse, I do not plan on only working in healthcare facilities for the rest of my life. As stated above, my goal in life is to serve those that are misrepresented in health. One can not live their life or have quality of life without being healthy. A community or country cannot prosper if their citizens are not healthy.
Career Goal I have a few career goals such as becoming an ER registered nurse and a nurse practitioner but fist I want to be an ER registered nurse. For a long time now I could just envision myself in the blue scrub running out to the ambulance as the EMT rushed the patient into the hospital. And successfully collaborating with a team of people to save someone's life.
My career goal is to become a registered nurse. While I have not currently picked a concentration, I am leaning towards pediatrics or labor and delivery. Going to NYIT would help me with this goal because I would be able to earn my bachelor degree in nursing and then take the NCLEX and hopefully become a licensed, registered nurse. I want to become a nurse in order to help people. Ever since I was a child I have wanted to make a difference and help others who are in need.
For a nurse to be in the nursing field they have to be able to understand how a patient thinks, feels, and understands. Psychology refers to human activities including education, events, employment, association, relationship and treatment of mental health difficulties. Everything we perform is much related to psychology. Basically psychology studies who and what we are, why we are like that, why we act and think like that and what we could be as a person and it’s a nurse job to find out all of this from the patient.
