Abstract: The goal of this research paper is to show you what the career outlook is for Software Engineering. I will explain the education needed for the career, location and availability of jobs, the salary range of a software engineer in North Dakota, the technology that is used and what will happen in the future of the program in terms of issues and successes. The career I am looking into for the future is being a software engineer. Being a software engineer requires a lot of patience and really good problem solving skills. It is common for students to take classes in software engineering to help with other majors like business. Getting certificates that are offered by outside vendors is also something that should be done. This shows the employer the amount of experience and professionalism done in one’s work. Having knowledge in programs such as C++ and Java is required because the career of software engineering is using these programs.
The career outlook for software engineers looks very good. Job openings are expected to be way more than the average job in the future. The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that the employment of software developers is expected to increase by 30% percent from 2010 to 2020. The demand for software engineers is increasing by the minute. This is because of the World’s advancements in technology. They are also needed because the software important companies are using are becoming more advanced and complex.
The locations of jobs in North Dakota for this specific career has a lot of potential. There are tons of places to work for software engineers. Just to list a few: Microsoft, Bobcat, Target, Walmart, John Deere, Case, etc. Almost every big company needs software
