My book was Flush by Carl Hiaasen, and it was a New York Times Bestseller. 1-2 sentence summary. The point of view is first person and the narrator is Noah the story does not say his last name. In Florida sometime in the future. The conflict is person vs. society, because Noah and his sister Abbey go on an adventure to prove their father innocent for sinking a ship and when he allowed to stay home from jail. Abbey goes and runs off to videotape evidence that her dad is innocent. Noah is the main character, his has the job of going to a boat and sabotaging the owner. Whose boat was sunk by his dad and got him thrown in jail, but he did it because of the reason that the owner was throwing waste in a spot they weren't suppose to.
