The interests I possess for academics are indefinite and have always persisted as one of the most important components in my life. While attending Carl Sandburg High School, I have taken primarily Honors and AP courses, which has allowed me to place in the top tenth percentile of my class. The rigorous classes I have taken have improved my ability to critically think, communicate with others, and assess how to utilize my time and resources efficiently. Furthermore, the educational process has enabled me to become a more productive and thoughtful human being, both in and out of an academic environment. Therefore, I desire to continue on my path of advancing my knowledge in the collegiate realm, in order to strengthen and improve my abilities

Physics has transformed how I observe and analyze information that is provided to me, due to the necessity to assess data from an unbiased perspective in numerous circumstances. I have taken two years of Physics at Carl Sandburg High School: AP Physics 1 my Junior year, and, currently, AP Physics C: Mechanics. Physics has come naturally to me, mathematically and conceptually, and developed me as an academic, overall enabling me to determine the major I will pursue. During my time in college, I plan on taking classes pertaining primarily to my major in Physics. However, since I have received AP credit for classes such as Microeconomics, United States History, AP Physics 1, and Language and Composition I will be able to forgo many of my general education requirements to further focus on my major in Physics. In addition, during my final year at Carl Sandburg I plan on receiving more AP credits for classes that I am currently attending such as Physics C: Mechanics, Calculus AB, Literature and Composition, and European History which will allow me to prioritize my major and reduce some of my educational
